Solidarity Summer School - conclusions

10.09.2023

The first MCBFS educational program organized by the Faculty of Philosophy of UPJPII turned out to be an international success. 100 students from 33 countries and 5 continents took part in two editions of the summer school. In an international environment, under the supervision of experienced professors: the President of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, Stefano Zamagni, the Chairman of the Scientific and Program Council of MCBFS, prof. Rocco Buttiglione, Director of the MCBFS Executive Board, prof. Władysław Zuziak, a well-known Polish researcher of Solidarity, prof. Krzysztof Brzechczyn and the world-famous German professor Joachim Wiemayer, participants listened to lectures devoted to the Polish experience of solidarity and how solidarity is understood in the world. It was wondered whether and how this Polish experience of solidarity could be globalized. Is it possible to answer global and local problems on its basis?
